Current location: Home > About us > Company NewsDuring the week of August 12, the Founder of the ESG Cooperation Hub, Mr. Xiaobing Wang, visited three local labor NGOs in Indonesia, including the Mining and Energy Federation (FPE). These organizations represent different types of civil society organizations within the labor sector.
The Mining and Energy Federation (FPE) is a labor union in Indonesia, established on April 30, 1998, that represents workers in the mining and energy sectors, including industries such as oil, gas, geothermal, coal, nickel, gold, cement, electricity, and gas stations. Affiliated with the Confederation of Indonesian Prosperous Labor Unions (KSBSI) and globally with IndustriALL, FPE advocates for both permanent and outsourced or contract workers. The organization emphasizes "Social Dialogue" to address labor issues, resorting to legal actions or strikes when necessary. FPE is committed to enhancing its members' welfare through various training programs and provides legal advocacy to support members.
Engaging in on-site investigation and interaction with these NGOs is a pivotal component of our multi-stakeholder communication strategy. This approach allows us to gain firsthand insight into the specific needs and concerns of the local labor organizations, fostering a more comprehensive understanding of the labor landscape in Indonesia.
