Current location: Home > About us > Company NewsDuring the week of August 12, Mr. Xiaobing Wang, the Founder of the ESG Cooperation Hub, visited three local labor NGOs in Indonesia, including the Morowali Industrial Workers Union. These groups represent various types of civil society organizations within the labor sector.
The Morowali Industrial Workers Union (SPIM) represents the interests of industrial workers in the Morowali region, advocating for fair treatment, safe working conditions, and appropriate compensation. SPIM facilitates communication between workers and management to resolve workplace issues and promotes a harmonious work environment. Key activities include negotiating with employers for fair wages and benefits, advocating for improved labor laws and safety regulations, providing legal assistance and resources to members, monitoring workplace conditions, and organizing collective actions like strikes when necessary. SPIM is committed to ensuring a fair and equitable work environment for its members.
On-site investigations and interactions with these NGOs are crucial to our multi-stakeholder communication strategy. This method provides us with direct insight into the unique needs and concerns of local labor organizations, enhancing our understanding of the labor landscape in Indonesia.
